Mogi das Cruzes (Portuguese pronunciation: or [muˈʒi das ˈkɾuzis]) is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, located within the metropolitan region of the state capital of the city of São Paulo. The population is 450,785 (2020 est.) in an area of 713 km 2. It is located 40 km to the east of the city of São Paulo.
