Helen Ann Richardson Khan (née Richardson; born 21 November 1938), known mononymously as Helen, is an Indian actress and dancer. She has appeared in over 1000 films, [1] making her a prolific performer in Hindi cinema.
She became a dancing sensation with the song Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu in the film Howrah Bridge (1958). Due to her popularity in the 60s and the 70s, she was often referred as ‘H-Bomb’. Her first film as a non-dancer was Hum Hindustani (1960).
