“Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon” is a 2013 Chinese drama series produced, directed and co-written by Tsui Hark. It is a prequel to Tsui’s 2010 hit film “Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame.” The film was followed by the sequel “Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings” (2018).
