May 28, 2021 · David Alaba left Bayern Munich on a free transfer and signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid. The 28-year-old defender won 10 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League trophies with Bayern.
- 6 March 2010: The debut. After making his debut as a precocious 15-year-old, Alaba had a handful of games with Austria Wien's reserve team in his native Vienna when he joined Bayern in 2008.
- 8 May 2010: The first title. By the end of the season, Alaba had the first of six DFB Cup winner's medals as Bayern completed a domestic double. They beat Werder Bremen 4-0 in a one-sided final on 15 May 2010.

Madrid said after the match that Alaba will need to undergo surgery in the next few days. The club did not immediately say how long he is expected to be sidelined.
