Oct 20, 2021 · CL (씨엘) is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and singer currently under Very Cherry and Schoolboy Records. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she spent much of her early life in Japan and France. CL trained at JYP Entertainment before joining YG Entertainment at the age of fifteen and debuted as a member of the girl group 2NE1 in 2009.
CL is best known as the former leader/vocalist/rapper of YG Family female K-pop group 2NE1. While she was born in Seoul, she spent a majority of her childhood in France & Japan.
