Biographical Note. Scope and Content of Collection. Alexandra Yourieff was the first wife of Vidkun Quisling, who collaborated in the German conquest of Norway in 1940 and was found guilty of treason and executed after Norway was liberated in 1945. She was 16 when she met and married him in 1922.
She met Vidkun for the first time in March 1923 and a romantic relationship developed during the summer that year, even though Vidkun had formally married Alexandra Voronin in August 1922.
