Jan 15, 2024 · The problem is I run a Mac as my main computer, and there are not that many sites with cr@ck software for Macs. Most are for windows. That's why I find filecr so nice. And the easy direct downloads and non-premium file hosters are great. However, now that I think about it, whats the catch then.

I opened the application and it was working fine, then I saw a zip folder named KEYGEN in the main folder, I thought maybe it generates some keys for the application, it didn't occur to me that the application was working just fine and didn't ask for some license key and still I extracted that file, now the moment I extracted it my antivirus detected the keygen.exe as a trojan and deleted it.
Jul 16, 2023 · I've been instales today from filecr and has a virus. I downloaded an ISO, extracted it with 7-zip, Windows Defender flags the file "Activator Win + Office.cmd", so I checked it out. It's basically a complicated batch file. "This program has potentially unwanted behavior."

Jan 1, 2024 · On my windows machine I had no problems downloading from fileCR in the past and I haven't ran into any problems with that, though I read on the megathread here that it is not a well reputable site. I am relatively new to the space of MacOS and I am not confident in my abilities to find malicious code if there was any on here.

absolutely not. FileCR collects files from different sources and I had issues with some releases in the past. If I recall correct, FMHY Collection list FileCR to untrusted source because slow response to uploader that upload malware.
Apr 13, 2022 · I have the filecr extension installed in Firefox. I didn’t need this webcrx thing you’re mentioning so it may just be your browser. I can verify that the extension itself is safe. Been using it for almost a year and I get the bulk of my software from FileCr
As an anecdotal reference I get ZBrush from there everytime there's an update and I've had no issues/viruses. Well, honestly, it doesn't matter. If you are infected, depending on what you're infected with, your device's BIOS could be infected. In which case, a clean OS would not matter.
