Apr 7, 2020 · Just got our scanner working. Put paper in auto feed and it's grabbing 2-3 pages at a time. I'm just using standard printer paper. Product: Imageclass MF642Cdw. I've resorted to simply standing there and holding the next page so it doesn't get fed in with the preceeding page.

I used the roller cleaning function numerous times, cleaned the rollers with alcohol several times and blew it with compressed air. I use brand name Hammermill paper 20# (for years) not recycled. Any suggestions ??
Multiple sheet feeding may not be detected depending on the paper type you use. 1. Press (Settings/Registration). 2. Press [Function Settings] → [Common] → [Scan Settings]. 3. Press [Set Detect. of Feeder Multi. Sheet Fd as Def.]. 4. Select [On] → [OK]. Select [Off] if you do not want to detect multiple sheet feeding.
