They typically contain excerpts from judicial opinions, summaries of cases, and commentary that help clarify the application of law in various situations.
In law school, law students study from casebooks. There are textbooks for most courses; these textbooks are useful; for example, they are a convenient reference when one starts a research project. However, we don’t usually deal with the textbooks in class; instead, in class we deal with casebooks, and the cases.

To work through the situation and come up with a solution, you must consider their circumstances, limitations, risk tolerance, stakeholders, resources, and potential consequences to assess how to respond.
