They’ve grown to become a unique component in the Canadian film scene. The group includes Yung Chang, Lixin Fan, Tao Gu, Xiaodan He, Aonan Yang and several more.
Red Dawn Productions was founded by Xiaodan He in 2013 in Montreal, Canada. The main mandate of the company is to produce films reflecting the reality and culture of the underrepresented groups in Canada and elsewhere, especially through the fates of women.

Montreal. Xiaodan He, a Canadian filmmaker from China, has studied film production at the Beijing Film Academy in China from 1993 to 1997. She then worked for the Yunnan Minority Film Studio as an assistant producer and an assistant director.
Red Dawn Productions was founded by Xiaodan He in 2013 in Montreal. Two feature films has been produced: A Touch of Spring and My Father’s Journey. Three fiction films are in development with governmental financial support.
