Wankhede Stadium (pronounced [ʋaːnkʰeɖe]) is an international cricket stadium in Mumbai, India. [4] It is owned and operated by Mumbai Cricket Association and is the home ground of the Mumbai Indians. The stadium was built in 1974, located in South Mumbai Marine lines. Initially, international cricket in Mumbai was played in Brabourne stadium.
