From 1974 to 2021, it was the administrative headquarters of the Borough of Corby, which at the 2021 Census had a population of 75,571. [2]
Corby is located in the county of Northamptonshire, East Midlands, six miles north-east of the town of Desborough, 19 miles north-east of the major town of Northampton, and 71 miles north of London. Corby lies two miles south-east of the Leicestershire border.
