Aughadown Upper Graveyard is located on the site of a medieval church which no longer remains. Earliest headstone inscriptions date back to the early 1700s. Aughadown Upper Graveyard adjoins the newer Aughadown Lower Graveyard and the ruins of St. Matthew's Church built in 1812.
