History. The first Catholic grade school in our area was built in 1906 and was a part of St. Patrick Parish. Other grade schools and a high school soon followed. The first class to graduate from 12th grade at St. Patrick’s School was in 1932. In the 1950s, there was a significant demand for Catholic education.

On Christmas Eve, 1912, a parishioner of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola presented Pastor Rev. David W. Hearn, SJ, with a gift to purchase land and build a tuition-free Jesuit school for Catholic young men.
