On 18 April 2017, Animax ceased broadcasting in India, with Sony Yay ultimately replacing the network. Animax's Asian feed would later be made available in India on digital platform SonyLIV, until 8 May 2020, after several Sony-branded networks were acquired by KC Global Media.
