Aug 4, 2017 · It's no secret that animals see the world in a very different light to humans, but an international collaboration between scientists has revealed that we are on the brink of a new era when it comes to figuring out how animals see, use and manipulate colour.
Colour has extensive historical, cultural and symbolic attachments. Colour codes have been used to stereotype people by gender, race, or class. Societal values are a powerful way to change our perceptions and behaviour. Indeed, colour could be a universal and effective vehicle for such change.
Oct 1, 1997 · Eiseman described common responses elicited by each color family in the spectrum and, by extension, ways each could be used (or avoided) effectively in interiors, fashion, product design, or marketing. She concluded with a description of color trends, showing some of the palettes forecast for the end of this century.
The History of Color. For thousands of years, we’ve colored our clothes, our bodies, and our environments to express our culture, our beliefs, and our traditions.
What is colour theory? Colour theory covers a long history from antiquity to modern times. It includes academic and scientific investigations into how we see and understand colour. It also includes practical applications for using colour in creative work.
How do we see it and how can we use it? A progression in our understanding of colour through many versions of practical colour systems, has developed over thousands of years of recorded history. Different ways of identifying and classifying colours have been theorised since ancient times.
