UICC’s Technical Fellowships provide cancer professionals the chance to gain new knowledge, skills and techniques in cancer control through short learning visits of two weeks to two months’ duration.
May 3, 2024 · During these years, the UICC Fellowships programme has served as a driving force for knowledge exchange, promoting technical skills training, and reinforcing capacities worldwide. Over the past 10 years, 355 Fellows have been surveyed to evaluate the long-term impacts of their fellowship visits.
The aim of the UICC technical fellowships is to create a transfer of cancer control knowledge, skills and techniques through one month international visits. Objectives: Facilitate the international exchange and development of technical knowledge and skills in all areas of cancer control.
Recognising a greater need than ever to strengthen workforce capacity in cancer control, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) has now complemented its traditional Technical Fellowships, which focus on in-person visits, with Virtual Fellowships to broaden its capacity to develop the skills of cancer professionals around the world.
