Arvind is Suchitra's friend and an employee at ShrinkMe, a start-up app to find mental-health doctors.
Arvind is a married man with a young daughter, Rhea, and it's said that his wife is in the US, but his current marital status is never revealed.
Initially he and Suchitra are professors at a college, but their job is too mundane for them. Arvind quits his job, and persuades Suchitra to quit and join ShrinkMe, a start-up app founded by his friend Nikhil, as it is a new career venture for her. She greatly impresses both Nikhil and Arvind. After some thought, she accepts the job, annoying her husband Srikant. Suchitra’s dalliances with Arvind earn the wrath of Srikant, who thinks she is having an affair with him.
Arvind continues to be a strong believer in her capabilities. When she visits his house to care for his sick daughter, he persuades her to speak at a venture-capitalist conference in Lonavala. In Lonavala, they spend a night together in the hotel. But the burden of possibly having an extramarital affair weighs heavily on Suchitra and she quits the company.
Few months later, she decides to rejoin and Arvind gladly welcomes her back. He urges her to seriously consider their relationship, but she is uncomfortable with broaching the topic.
