  2. Pog means Play of the Game. It has been co-opted to be a word for shock or surprise. It's still used as Play of the Game; especially when something great happens, chats usually spam "POG" to express how great the play was.

  3. Answer: I think "PoG", in its use on Twitch, was inspired by the Overwatch "Play Of the Game" system. But regardless of whether it came from Overwatch streamers or not, it's definitely a Twitch thing. Edit: I know Overwatch's was PotG, but looking it up the "Pog" of Pogchamp literally comes from "Play Of Game". Just in a pre-overwatch form.
