Sallent de Gállego (in Aragonese: Sallent de Galligo or Sallén de Galligo) [2][3] is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. The town is located in the central Pyrenees besides the reservoir of Lanuza on the foot of some of the highest summits of the chain, close to the border with France.
The town of Sallent de Gállego is located at the head of the Tena Valley, at 1,305 metres above sea level, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees.

The capital of the Tena Valley, Sallent is situated at an altitude of 1,305 metres, at the end of the Lanuza dam and below the Peña Foratata mountain. The town is very typical of the Aragon Pyrenees, with a beautiful Gothic church (from the early 15 th Century) that houses a valuable Plateresque altarpiece.
