Anoeta Stadium (Spanish: Estadio de Anoeta), currently known as the Reale Arena for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in San Sebastián, Basque Country, Spain that was inaugurated in 1993. The stadium lies at the Anoeta Sports Complex , and is mostly used for football matches where La Liga side Real Sociedad contest their home games.
Reale Arena, better known as Estadio Anoeta, replaced Real Sociedad’s old Estadio de Atotxa, which had become too small and lacked the possibilities for expansion. In sharp contrast with their cosy old ground, the new stadium was bowl-shaped, spacious, and had an athletics track circling the pitch.
