  1. Jan 14, 2024 · Idk if this works on a laptop but if you go to Settings -> Display -> Graphics -> "Change default graphics settings" -> then turn off Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, it might help. Some people with nvidia cards on desktop say it helps them. Some says it made things worse depending on the game.

  2. Oct 30, 2021 · If you feel like the features 11 interest you to a benefit, I don't see why not but answers are gonna be varied since people say yes and no. Just as a mention, the Ryzen issue for 11 has been resolved in latest updates now so no performance drawbacks. I'm personally waiting for around Christmas to update.

  4. Windows 11 is a lot more flexible for window organization (hover mouse over the maximize/minimize toggle to see what I mean), and vastly superior at managing window positions when your monitor setup changes (remote desktop from a laptop, plugging a laptop into a dock with multiple monitors, etc). It also has the fake HDR upscaling for games ...

If it’s like a 3% decrease in performance, I won’t really mind. Also, the modern UI is why I kinda want to stay on 11. It’s just a nice look for the ...

  9. Feb 15, 2023 · Actually, AM5 for me works better for gaming on Windows 10 than Windows 11. I have a dual boot between windows 10 and windows 11 on my desktop, Ryzen 9 7900x and RTX 3080. Same game, same hardware, all drivers updated, OS updated. My CPU and GPU run about 5-10° C hotter on Windows 11 with about 5-10 lower FPS as well.

  10. Windows 11 is stable, and has better gaming performance from what I found. However, Microsoft tries to force you into making an account so they can collect your data. Forced updates and Windows Defender seems worse in 11 than it did in 10, my laptop fan goes full blast when Windows first loads up and my system is bogged down despite having no other intensive programs running at startup.
