Both TrainSplit and Ticketclever are worth checking next time you book a long distance train ticket, but based on my limited testing TrainSplit seems to be the better tool to split your tickets and save some money.

Cheap fares but bad app. I have used Splitmyfare a few times now as they are usually cheaper than Trainline however the app is not as slick as Trainline. My latest purchase was far a long journey where I bought 2 tickets one for me and one for my husband.
