I'm more of a fan of Part I than II as far as the non-epilogue chapters go, but I don't think that III is plainly worse than II—just a kinder, gentler Godfather movie which reflects its protagonist's changing priorities and stab at redemption. All of that would be it, save for Sofia Coppola's acting.
