I haven't watched any other comedy movie starring Nagarjuna except King and Hello Brother (which I watched after Manmadhudu), so didn't expect it would be so good. Apart from the scenes OP mentioned, there's another scene I really like.

This film is definitely better than Santosham (Nagarjuna's earlier film). Manmadhudu is as good as Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (Vijaya Bhaskar's earlier film).
Manmadhudu is as good as Nuvvu Naaku Nachav (Vijaya Bhaskar's earlier film). First half of the film is extremely entertaining (total comedy + flashback romance). And second half (comedy + story) is even better than first half. 95% of the scenes in the film are comedy dialogues. There are few sentiment scenes.

Dec 20, 2002 · New face Anshu proves a perfect choice for the character of shy and sensitive woman Maheswari. Other who impress most are Tanikella Bharani, Balayya and Chandra Mohan. The film has a fine mix of sensible and soulful songs with Nagarjuna getting three voices for playback. The first song is the best in the film.
