Inferno is a 1980 Italian supernatural horror film written and directed by Dario Argento, and starring Irene Miracle, Leigh McCloskey, Eleonora Giorgi, Daria Nicolodi and Alida Valli. The plot follows a young man's investigation into the disappearance of his sister, who had been living in a New York City apartment building that also served as a home for a powerful, centuries-old witch.
I absolutly love Mark and the Mater Tenebrarum's introduction. I also love how it expances the lore both for Suspiria and Mother of tears. Inferno is my favorite DA film. i just finished rewatching Inferno (1980) and it stands (for me personally) as one of the strongest Argento films. let’s talk about it!

The last Dario Argento movie where the good outweighs the bad, Inferno plays like a creepy fever dream. For forty minutes or so, the Italian director, with his visual talent and gift for atmosphere, seems ready to deliver a supernatural thriller which, if not on par with his magnificent Suspiria, at least appears to come reasonably close.
