Borderlands 3 is more narratively driven and I would consider it a first-person aRPG (like Diablo). There are raids (not on the scale of D2) and stuff to farm, but it’s rather linear. However, Borderlands is THE looter shooter. There’s a lot of loot, more than you would know what to do with.
They're each kitted out with good gear at their own level, but also 2 and 4 levels above and 2 and 4 levels below - so, my level 16 Maya is carrying very good gear at levels 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20.
