Mar 31, 2011 · The image will always have the same dimensions as the screen or window being captured — a 1440x900 screen will create a 1440x900 screenshot. Today's operating systems are resolution-dependent: everything you see screen is either being shown at actual size (e.g. a 10-pixel-by-10-pixel icon which has actually drawn as 10 pixels by 10 pixels) or has been rendered at some pixel dimensions.
Jun 13, 2019 · Press Command Shift 5 to open the settings for screenshots. In the Options menu, under Save to, click on Preview. Press Esc. After doing that, screenshotting the whole screen with Command Shift 3 (don't need the Control) will do steps 1, 2, and 3 from the above, so you just need to make a selection and copy. 👍🏼. Share.
May 23, 2014 · Under macOS Sierra, it seems that all you can screenshot is the contents of the Terminal window. There does not appear to be a way to interact with the interface whilst the screenshot crosshairs are present nor does multitasking appear to be possible whilst booted to the Recovery System. –
Sep 9, 2019 · When I take a screenshot in macOS Mojave, I get a handy screen with Markup tools to edit the screenshot. But I’ve never been able to get the “highlight” feature to work. I want to highlight text on a page in yellow, similar to a highlighter pen. It looks like it should do it, but the highlighter tool is always disabled.
Apr 8, 2016 · 4. Safari can do this out of the box: the key is that you need to adjust the page size when printing to PDF. Load the website. File -> Print... Under the "Paper Size" pop-up, select "Manage Custom Sizes". Create a new paper size that fits the entire webpage (eg, 8.5in x 30in).

Command ⌘-Shift ⇧-3 will save a screenshot of the whole screen to your desktop. Command ⌘ - Control ⌃ - Shift ⇧ - 3 copies it to your clipboard. ⌘ - ⇧ - 4 lets you drag to take a shot of a portion of the screen, or press Space to select a specific window.

Feb 21, 2018 · I am watching Netflix in Safari on macOS 10.13.3. I just tried taking a screenshot through several methods: ⌘ ⇧ 3 while Safari in full-screen mode (Netflix isn't). ⌘ ⇧ 4 and dragging while Safari in full-screen mode. ⌘ ⇧ 3 while Safari is not full-screen and not focussed.
