Disable Steam Cloud. Delete all files in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID. Start the game to create fresh (and thus different) new files. Exit the game and Steam. Delete remotecache.vdf in Steam\userdata\SteamID\AppID. Start Steam. Enable Steam Cloud, start the game and the "Sync conflict" dialog should appear.

Apr 7, 2022 · 2. If game has delete save option in game, use it to remove all saves and exit game. Steam should sync to cloud removing all the saves you just removed. If there is no in game delete save option, you'll need to manually delete the saves while game is running, then exit the game and the saves should be removed from cloud. #1.
Jul 3, 2023 · Before clearing the cloud saves, you might want to disable Steam Cloud synchronization for the specific game to prevent any automatic re-syncing of the saves later. Open your Steam client and go to the "Library" tab. Right-click on the game for which you want to disable Steam Cloud synchronization. Select "Properties" from the dropdown menu.
Dec 11, 2018 · If it is just name.file it shoud go directly into the game folder. If the name is Data/name.file it should go in the Data folder within the game folder. You can find the game folder by right clicking the game in Steam -> properties -> local files -> browse. Hope that helps. How to do any of this depends on the game.
Sep 9, 2019 · Every time I restarted the Oblivion program though, all the deleted saves would repopulate from "the cloud." I'd just delete them again and they'd come back like an STD. Never could figure out how to actually access "cloud save" items via Steam Client itself, so as noted above I just turn cloud saving off altogether.
Jan 20, 2022 · First, turn off cloud for that game. In your library right click the game, go to properties (General) and unclick the cloud checkbox. Once you do that go to Steam\userdata\xxxxxx (the odd numbered folder)\and the the app ID of the game. That is where the cloud saves are stored. Mar 22, 2024 · 1. Have the game closed > right click the game in Steam > properties and look for the option to disable cloud saves for now. 2. Go to your Steam folder/userdata/. 3. If you see more then 1 folder, browse the folder. The one you want is the folder with many numbers (these are SteamIDs).

Then you should be able to delete save games manually in the My Documents folder. Or just cut and paste them somewhere else.
