All in, parts and labor was a little over $1,300. The dealer gets you two ways. You pay their labor, but you also pay top, full retail for all the parts.

I wrote a snail mail letter to Mr. Levatich, the President and CEO of Harley-Davidson explained the history and asked for his help with is support and technical staff. Should be interesting. I'd stay away from NA-MY2017 map updates for now.

Oct 23, 2019 · For $4575 I can step up to a 103 CI Twin Cam. S&S sells lots of options but they mostly high horsepower and I'm not so sure about their longevity. Below I listed the less expensive S&S engines but they go over $10,000. I need to decide on something. I want a new engine by spring time so it won't cut down on my riding.
Jul 7, 2023 · I've done the cam plate tensioner replacement using the Harley cam install kit for about $1000.00. The cam install kit includes every part, gasket, o-ring, bearings except the tensioners. The kit uses the stock pushrods but includes the lifters. Nov 13, 2013 · I have a guy locally that used to paint for Harley and is now in business for himself. He fixed a dent and painted my front fender for $275. I asked about painting a while bike and it depends on how crazy the scheme is. He has painted 2 fenders and a tank for $800 and he has painted a bagger with a very custom design and finish for $3,000.

Not sure if that's bad luck or what, compared with the $1000 prices I see other people mention. Best advice, call the dealer and see what they say.

I was absolutely shocked at the price. $280 + tax. They said it was $200 just for labor to remove the wheel/tire assemblies, and $40 to mount each tire.
