Nov 4, 2024 · DIRECTV includes your first Genie, Gemini, or DIRECTV standard receiver in your plan, but charges the $15-a-month Advanced Receiver Service Fee (so much for “included”). If you have multiple TVs, you’ll need additional Gemini or standard receivers, and each costs $7 monthly.
DIRECTV says all its packages come with a $15 monthly advanced receiver service fee, which covers your DVR and HD service. But DIRECTV’s fees page says that fee can reach as high as $25 monthly, so keep an eye out for price hikes on this fee.

With each TV plan, DIRECTV includes a fair amount of channels for a price that won't break the bank—especially if you're saving up some money for a beach vacation during the winter. DIRECTV's streaming packages are on the steep side. Less than 100 channels for $70 per month? Or 125 for $75? We don't love those numbers.
