The Village of Hoffman Estates is located in Cook County, Illinois and is a northwest suburb of the City of Chicago. Hoffman Estates is a diverse community of nearly 55,000 located along and on both sides (north and south) of Interstate 90.
The Village of Hoffman Estates is comprised of nearly 400 employees working in nine departments in eight municipal facilities. The Village is a full-service community, employing full-time firefighter/paramedics and police officers, in addition to other civic professionals.
Township Government. Township governments provide for road maintenance in unincorporated areas as well as mental health services, disabled services, senior services, youth services and welfare services.
All contractors performing work in Hoffman Estates are required to complete the following form and provide the required documentation. The contractor registration form as well as all required documentation must be submitted via email to buildingpermits@hoffmanestates.org .

Election Day for the 2024 Presidential Election is Tuesday, November 5. Early voting officially starts October 9 at courthouses in Rolling Meadows, Skokie, Maywood, Bridgeview and Markham and downtown Chicago at the Cook County Clerk's office.

The Village of Hoffman Estates proudly boasts more than 26 miles of on-street and off-street bike paths that connect to its business parks, commercial corridors, and residential neighborhoods. The Forest Preserve District of Cook County serves the Village, and has two major forest preserves locally with walking trails and bike paths.
