Golspie (/ ˈ ɡ ɒ l s p i / GOL-spee, Scottish Gaelic: Goillspidh) is a village and parish in Sutherland, Highland, Scotland, which lies on the North Sea coast in the shadow of Ben Bhraggie. It has a population of around 1,350.
Golspie is an attractive little seaside resort situated just 10 miles north of Dornoch. The village of Golspie boasts a lovely long sandy beach and there are a number of great scenic walks around the area including one at the Big Burn with its spectacular waterfalls.

Golspie is a small, attractive town of under 2,000 people, with award-winning beaches, abundant shops and cafes and -in our opinion – one of Scotland’s best chippies! St Andrews Church makes an attractive centrepoint for the village, and is worth a visit to admire if not go in.

As you drive towards Loch Fleet and Littleferry, you’ll pass through Balblair woods. There is a car park on the left and from where you can join the Balblair woodland trail.
