I graduated with an MIS Business Technology degree last year. Around March / April, started job hunting for after graduation. I was able to get interviews for traditional IT jobs (dataceneter / MSP helpdesk / internal IT) but ended up taking a job in a customer success role at the end of May 2020.
MIS is a good degree in that it allows you to work in either the Business unit, or the Technology Support unit of an organization. No modern business can achieve success without some degree of technology adoption. MIS includes both business administration and technical coursework.
If you get into manager roles or consultant with good experience you can demand more. 175k is probably the top unless you bring very unique skills. High floor and I'd say ceiling is high but hard to get past 175k I'd say.
