From then on, Muhammad Ali Jinnah would receive personal care and support from her as he aged and began to suffer from the lung ailments which would eventually kill him. She lived and travelled with him, and became a close advisor. Muhammad Jinnah's daughter, Dina, was educated in England and India.

Dina Wadia was born to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and his second wife Rattanbai Petit (known as ‘Maryam Jinnah’ being converted from Parsi to Islam). Her paternal grandparents were Hindu who hailed from Gujarat, India and migrated to Karachi for business in the mid-1870s.
