Carentoir (French pronunciation: [kaʁɑ̃twaʁ]; Breton: Karantoer) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. [3] On 1 January 2017, the former commune of Quelneuc was merged into Carentoir. [4] It is where the entertainment company Ubisoft was founded.

Carentoir is a village of Morbihan in Brittany, the borders of Ille-et-Vilaine and bordering La Gacilly. It was established in January 1, 2017 with the new common status of 3300 inhabitants, following the merger of Carentoir, which it has kept the name (2750 inhabitants) and Quelneuc (550 inhabitants).
