    1. On your computer, open Gmail.

    2. In the top right, click Settings See all settings.

    3. Click the Accounts and import or Accounts tab.

    4. In the 'Check email from other accounts' section, click Add an email account.

    5. Type the email address that you want to link click Next.

    6. Select Link account with Gmail (Gmailify) Next.

    After you've unlinked your other account from Gmail, you can choose to keep or delete existing copies of your other account's messages in your Gmail inbox.

    Gmail might organise your messages differently from other email services.

    Empty bin limit

    Messages in your 'Bin' aren't deleted according to Gmail's 30-day limit, but according to the 'Empty bin' limit of your other mail service.

    For example, if your other email service keeps a message in 'Bin' for 60 days before permanently deleting it, you'll see the message in Gmail 'Bin' for 60 days.

    Archived emails

    When you archive an email in Gmail, it's stored in a new 'Archive' folder in your other email service.

  7. Technically, Gmail's Gmailify uses IMAP for syncing, which is helpful if you have actively used external accounts with folders. Through Open/Gmailify, Gmail fetches messages via POP3. POP3 has no support for folders, and Gmail's POP3 fetching rate is only up to several times an hour.
