Reginald DesRoches (born April 30, 1967) is an American civil engineer has served as the president of Rice University since July 1, 2022. From 2020 until 2022, he served as provost of Rice.
Reginald DesRoches is Rice University’s eighth president. He also serves as a professor of civil and environmental engineering, and professor of mechanical engineering. As president, DesRoches is the chief executive officer of the university and its 8,600 plus students, eight schools and more than 900 faculty.
