  8. Our endocrinology service, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital, offers treatment and care for many rare endocrine conditions. Endocrinology is the study and management of rare and complex diseases that affect the glands of the body.

  9. The Perfusion service provides clinical perfusion services to the Barts Heart Centre. Perfusionists are responsible for the use of a heart-lung machine during cardiac surgery to temporarily take over the pumping function of the heart and oxygenation of the blood.
