Nestled in the South Downs, Lordington Lavender was established in 2002 by local farmer Andrew Elms. After selling his dairy herd he was looking for a new way to diversify and decided that Lavender would be a unique and exciting alternative.
Four acres here in Lordington and I was more than happy with my lavender fix. From a certain point of view I can understand some of the criticisms but Lordington is not a leisure destination, it is quite simply, a working farm that for one week a year, delights in sharing its beautiful lavender fields with the general public.

Jul 21, 2020 · Although sadly it won’t be staging its usual open week this year, Lordington Lavender near Chichester is welcoming a host of other visitors attracted by the flowers – from hares who shelter among the stems to red-listed bird species. There is a field near Chichester where, for a couple of weeks a year, it is possible to imagine oneself in Provence.
