Apr 30, 2013 · Anyways, so like a lot of bad movies North can make a pretty convincing case for actually being a decent movie. It was a bad movie, very disjointed and scattered. A lot of weird tone shifts and Flintstones level cartoony sets and characters while still, presumably, being set in the real world.
Yes, he wrote that. Not only did he write that in his review for North, he turned that line into an entire book series. This is a guy who started reviewing movies in the late 60s. He must have seen so many bad movies between his start and when this movie came out. But this movie was so bad, it inspired him to write a book series about bad movies.
Feb 9, 2019 · North is not a good movie, yet I just checked to see what year it came out. It reminds me of a weirder Forrest Gump. It follows the mainstream formula of the main character going on episodic adventures, meeting a lot of interesting characters along the way.

North is a pretty bad movie one of the reasons comes at the end. It's as if the writer got stuck for an ending and then decided to give up. Watch it and you will know what I'm talking about.

Like Nothing But Trouble, North had a jaw-dropping line-up of splurged comedic talent, a runaway budget, and a high concept that was a unique take on a familiar structure. It should have been a hit. So should Skidoo or Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, but these things happen.
