But we've also got statutes, and legislatures generally can overrule precedents from courts just by changing/passing new statutes (assuming the legislature, is like, functional).
A follow-up to the $130M-plus grossing movie Law Abiding Citizen is happening with producer Lucas Foster and screenwriter Kurt Wimmer returning, as well as Gerard Butler and his G-Base partner Alan Siegel reprising their roles as producers. No casting was announced but Butler is producing.
Mar 20, 2022 · A lot of people find the ending unsatisfying for your reasons me included. I suppose at the end of the day Jamie Foxx is the hero so he should get the happy ending but a lot of us empathize with Gerard butler's situation and his feelings of getting screwed by the system.
To stop cutting deals and to start fighting to put criminals in jail through trial. At the same time though, Foxx has become corrupted. Searching property without a warrant, and murdering Butler. During the recital, Foxx seems to be having some internal conflict. I interpreted this as Foxx realizing he is no longer a "law abiding citizen."

Think about it, he clearly had access and time to plant a camera in the chandelier of the conference room well before the meeting, but he leaves the bomb upstairs above the room that night and right there in the fucking open.
