It's a wonderfully engulfing track, which cracks with intensity right from the get-go, pulsing with energy, steeped in nuance and absolutely delivering on bracing atmospherics.
Ghostbusters afterlife is weird I don't mean it's a bad film, but it's kinda funny how the film is about treating them as mythic heroes with legendary adventures, when the original movie is a comedy about four shlubby nobodies essentially running a get rich quick scheme who accidentally become heroes from pure coincidence.
When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. Director: Jason Reitman. Writers: Gil Kenan, Jason Reitman. Cast: Finn Wolfhard as Trevor. McKenna Grace as Phoebe. Carrie Coon as Callie.
It's a shame that we were robbed of sequels for close to 30 yrs, but whatever. Maybe in another lifetime in an alternate universe Murray and Ramis don't have their fight and Ghostbusters the game gets tweaked a bit and is the first if many sequels that then lead to afterlife. Like I said though, another lifetime in an alternate universe.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the best possible way to approach reviving franchises. It has plenty of reverence for the previous movies, but it's the new stories told with plenty of heart and good characters that really cements it as an excellent movie.
The only reason Afterlife wasn't called out for being a disaster in the way the 2016 movie was, was because Afterlife had literally half the budget of the 2016 movie. Afterlife also opened during the pandemic and lots of people still weren't entirely comfortable going out.

Jan 12, 2022 · First post, but I've been lurking the community recently. I have been a big blu-ray collector for quite a while, but had paused collecting outside some Marvel and Disney 4K discs. I recently started collecting steelbooks however. I have been trying to find any information on Ghostbusters Afterlife having a 4K steelbook.

"I, like every manchild, has thought what would you do for a ghostbusters 3". love how mike says this without a hint of any joke behind the statement. what's amazing is his idea is one i've heard before. they're corporate dudes and the ghostbusters are franchised.
