An Se-young (Korean: 안세영; Hanja: 安洗瑩; born 5 February 2002) is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. [1] She was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF.
She was named 2019 Most Promising Player of the Year by the Badminton World Federation . She received the Rising Star Award at the 2017 Korean Women's Sports Grand Awards. In 2016 and 2017 she was given an Excellence Award by the Badminton Korea Association [BKA]."
