Last week I went to Mountain View, CA to visit our friends on the Google Blockly team and to speak about the work we have been doing at App Inventor on generative AI, both in how block environments can invoke generative AI models as well as using generative AI models to code with blocks.
App Inventor is a free, cloud-based service that allows you to make your own mobile apps using a blocks-based programming language. You access App Inventor using a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). With these beginner-friendly tutorials, you will learn the basics of programming apps for Android and iOS phones and tablets. Sharing and Remixing Apps: Share your app code with friends to load in App Inventor and remix. Building and Installing Apps: Build your app for installing on a phone or tablet (Android only, for now)

Go directly to ai2.appinventor.mit.edu, or click the orange "Create" button from the App Inventor website. Log in to App Inventor with a gmail (or google) user name and password.
