She played the role of the wife of Nawab Shah in the TV serial “Amma: Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma” (2020).     Sonali Phogat joined the political party Bharatiya Janata Party in 2008. Subsequently, she was made the National Vice President of BJP Mahila Morcha. In 2019, she contested the 2019 Harayana Assembly Elections from the Adampur Constituency. However, she lost the elections to Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi by a margin of 29,471 votes.
