Kambakkht Ishq (transl. Damned love [3]) is a 2009 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is based on the 2002 Tamil film Pammal K. Sambandam [ 4 ] [ 5 ] which in turn was based on the 1999 film The Bachelor . [ 6 ]
The movie is a remake of the 2002 Tamil film 'Pammal K. Sambandam'. It is about a 'super' Indian stuntman in Hollywood (Akshay Kumar as Viraj Shergill) who meets an Indian supermodel (Kareena Kapoor as Simrita Rai) at his brother's (Aftab Shivdasani as Lucky) wedding in church.

The film stars Kamal Haasan in the title role alongside Simran, Abbas and Sneha. The film was produced by P. L. Thenappan under Media Dreams, while Deva composed the music. Pammal K. Sambandam released on 14 January 2002. It received positive reviews and became a commercial success.
