Ben Nickless is a comedian, entertainer & impressionist who is best known for finishing eighth in Series 15 of Britain's Got Talent, after previously auditioning for Series 13. He was aged 40 at the time of his second audition. He hailed from Lancashire.
Nickless' performance impressed the judges and he advanced onto the following round, however he failed to reach the Semi-Finals. Nickless' performance was never televised, however he was seen during the second round upon a card that the judges used whilst deliberating.
Nickless auditioned for Britain's Got Talent for the second time in Series 15. In his audition, Nickless performed 20 impressions in sixty seconds, with these impressions including Morgan Freeman, Donald Trump, Dot Cotton, Kevin Webster, Homer, Marge Simpson, & Krusty The Clown from The Simpsons, John Bishop, Harry Redknapp, Alan Carr, Stewie Griffin & Glenn Quagmire from Family Guy, Michael McIntyre, Holly Willoughby, Keith Lemon, Ozzy Osbourne, Wallace & Gromit, Boris Johnson, Sir David Attenborough and Scooby Doo. Nickless then performed 'Greatest Day' by Take That whilst impersonating Gary Barlow. David commented 'talk about storming it, that was incredible like a hurricane of comedy', with Alesha adding 'A lot of people take a long time to get to the joke, and get to the point, but you made sure that it landed and that it was fast paced and it kept us entertained'.
In the Semi-Finals, Nickless performed an altered version of 'This Is Me' from The Greatest Showman as he impersonated Gary Barlow, Boris Johnson, Kermit The Frog & Miss Piggy, Piers Morgan, Bear Grylls, Joe Wicks, Michael Le Vell, Taylor Swift, Prince Charles, Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Scooby Doo, David Mitchell, Homer Simpson, Sir Billy Connolly, Michael McIntyre, Mrs Brown, Wallace, Ozzy Osbourne, Ant & Dec, David Walliams, Alan Carr, John Bishop, & Joe Pasquale before going on to deliver the final line of 'This Is Me' within his own voice. Simon remarked 'you can feel the reaction and the energy in the room behind us, I mean the audience loved it', with Amanda adding 'This business is tough to survive in, and every moment there is a chink of light and tonight that light shone straight on you'. He won the Public Vote and advanced directly onto the Final.
In late 2022, Nickless starred alongside Jason Manford in a Peter Pan pantomime at the Manchester Opera House, playing the character of Mr. Smee.
