Today, its Garden of Chimes is the newest completed project and provides additional mausoleum space as well as cremation columbarium, family estates and individual lawn crypts.
The historic Inglewood Mausoleum was built between 1911 and 1915, and was the first community mausoleum constructed in the State of California. One of the main features of this mausoleum is its Tiffany-style stained glass windows ,from acclaimed artisan company Judson Studio.
The first interment occurred on July 20, 1906. When Centinela Valley was sparsely settled, funeral processions arrived on horse-drawn carts. When the trolley arrived, mourners and coffins went to the cemetery in specially designed funeral cars. Affordable crypt entombment came in 1913.
