"Jai Ho" is a song composed by A. R. Rahman for the 2008 film Slumdog Millionaire. When Danny Boyle, the director of Slumdog Millionaire, approached Rahman to compose its soundtrack, he included the song. "Jai Ho" accompanies a choreographed dance sequence at the end credits of the film (choreographed by Longinus Fernandes).
It was released on February 23, 2009, by Interscope Records as the fourth single from the album and is an English remake of the original Hindi song "Jai Ho" which is taken from the soundtrack to the hit film Slumdog Millionaire (2008).

Jai Ho was released on 24 January 2014, during the Republic Day weekend, and received mixed reviews from critics. The film grossed ₹ 195 crore (US$23 million) at the box office, becoming the sixth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2014 .
